LAR

LAR (Le Api Randagie) are Mattia (musician) and Davide (acrodancer). Brothers.

In 2020 they start working together by combining their disciplines, creating ad hoc projects for festivals or shows in Italy until 2021. Winners of the SURREALE 2022 call for proposals by Flic Circus School, they start creating ‘KEVIN’, their first show. With this project, they obtained two co-productions and residencies by La Corte Ospitale (Reggio-Emilia) and Officine della Cultura (Arezzo) at the end of 2022. In 2023, they won the call Vettori 2023 by Teatro Stabile La Contrada in Trieste for a co-production and two-week residency. They won a two-week residency through Residenza CarteVive of Teatro in Folio in Meda (MB).

They won the CURA 2024 Project, with a co-production by Officine CAOS/Teatro Stalker of Turin and the Ideagorà Association of Cuneo.

Class ‘95, acrodancer.

At the age of 18 Davide entered the FLIC School of Contemporary Circus in Turin as an acrobat and here he specialized in handstands. At 22, he got into CNAC (Centre National des Arts du Cirque) in France, specializing in acrodance. In 2019, he toured between France and Belgium with the CNAC exit show “On n’est pas là pour sucer des glaces’’ staged by Cie Galapiat Cirque and later as acrobat in the opera show “Le Voyage Dans la Lune” staged by Olivier Fredj,on tour until 2022. Since 2017 he has been giving acrodance workshops in Italian academies and European festivals including B12 research or die (Berlin), HJS Summer intensive (Amsterdam), Frei Art Festival (Freiburg). He is co-founder and artist of the company LAR (Le Api Randagie) in creation since 2022 with the show KEVIN.

Class ‘94, musician and technician.

In 2016 he graduated from SAE (School of Audio Engineering) in Milan. Between 2017 and 2020 he works as a technician in recording studios and as an independent musician releasing 2 solo albums. From 2020 he specializes in light design and light programming and from 2021 he lives and works in Turin in some theaters as light technician including Alfa Teatro and Teatro Vittoria. From 2022 he also works as audio and lighting technician at Flic (circus school in Turin) following internal and external productions as well as the school circus festival, Oscillante Festival. Since 2021 he has collaborated with several theater and circus companies including Compagnia Trioche, Erika Bettin, Cie IlTrioCirc and Andrea Salustri.

He is co-founder and artist of the company LAR (Le Api Randagie) in creation since 2022 with the show KEVIN.
